Our Spring Bucket List 2018

Spring is one of our favourite times of the year. It’s full of new life, longer days and sunshiney weather. Perfect for adventuring! Here’s what we’ve got planned.

Our Spring Bucket List 2018

Grow some fruit and vegetables

We’re a bit late off the mark for this one because of the funny weather we have had. But, very soon we are going to get planting. Our late planted tomatoes did brilliantly the other year, so fingers crossed!

Visit London Zoo

This one has been on our bucket list for some time now. So, I’ve turned some of our Tescos vouchers (they can save a small fortune) into money off tokens and now it’s just a case of picking a good weekend to go.

Go on a UK holiday break

After a relaxing getaway to Bluestone,Wales last year, we are keen to go on another UK holiday break. There are so many spectacular places to see in the UK, we are quite spoilt for choice.

Try out adventure golf

I used to love going to the mini golf course down the road when I was little. Things have definitely changed, and I’ve very recently discovered some amazing looking adventure golf courses in and around London. Little Bird often have great deals for these that pop up on their website, so I’m keeping my eyes peeled!

Go for family friendly afternoon tea

Ever since our grown-ups only trip to the Ritz, Little Button has been itching to go herself. I’m looking for family friendly places at the moment.

Have a Greek (Cypriot) BBQ

Little Button LOVES a good Greek BBQ. She definitely takes after Mr Button, and if it’s not Greek, they both pull the same -its ok- face. Looks like I’ll be making a few trips to buy out their favorite Halloumi and Greek sausages.

Visit a farm

I’m not sure which one yet, but we love trips out to the farm in Spring. At the moment, Hatfield Farm is one of our favourites, but I’m also looking for a few new places to try.

Pottery painting

The last time we were at Hatfield Farm we spotted ‘Pots of Art’ where you can paint your own ceramic masterpieces. The prices are fab and you can literally just turn up, pick a piece and then get painting. Now Little Buttons a bit older, I think this is going to be a winner!

A trip to our favourite Beach Huts

The beach is our happy place, and hiring out a beach hut for the occasion is always the cherry and icing on our cake. Millie’s Beach Huts have expanded quite a bit over the last couple of years, so there’s even more choice where to base yourself for the day.

We’ve got so much to fit in before the Summer, but I’m really excited to give it a try.

What have you got planned for Spring?

I really want to visit London Zoo too, I’ve not been since I was little and I remember it being fantastic! I really want to fit it in before the school holidays and before my eldest starts school, so time is running out. We’re enjoying growing veg too – we have potatoes and beetroot on the go. Good luck with your tomatoes!

Visiting a farm is on our list too as the kids really want to go horse riding again. Plus they want another trip to the beach but it’s gettjng a bit cold for that now.

Great list – they all sound such fun things to do. Renting a beach hut is a fab idea – I bet it makes a day out at the beach feel like a proper holiday!

We played adventure golf the other day. I thought my toddler would get bored after a while, but she did all 18 holes & wanted to do more!! A lovely list of activities x

What a great idea to make a list! We always get to the end of Spring or Summer and say “oh, we never got round to…” Having a list keeps it at the front of your mind.
