Our Autumn Bucket List

I’ve only gone and forgotten all about writing up our autumn bucket list for this year. With a month left to go until we reach winter, I’m pretty far behind. But, luckily we’ve been busy bees behind the Button scenes so there’s a fair few things that I can tick off our list already. Phew. Dejavu? Yes, this is the exact same thing that happened with our summer bucket list. Anyway *rolls eyes and tells self off. Here it is.

*Jumping leaves does not appear anywhere on my list. Because. You know. It’s not always a good idea to jump into a pile of leaves is it *true story.

1 Do something creative with a pumpkin on Halloween. *yells tick at no one particular.

Our crazy painted #pumpkins are drying well. Finally we have a #HalloweenWin ! Does it count as its not edible though #happylittlebuttons

2 Make Halloween goodies for fun. *Tick. Though success is entirely debatable.

3 See the new My little Pony Movie with Little Button and sit in the luxury VIP cinema seats. *Tick. The movie was great and so were those comfy seats.

4 Buy ALL the Halloween sweets. *Another tick. Except no one made it to our door for trick or treating. We are now swimming in sweets. That’s not really a bad thing is it though?!

5 Go to a Halloween party. I don’t allow Little Button to participate in trick or treating, so I’m hoping a little party will keep the smile on her face. *Tick. This was an interesting one. Yay, because school put on the most brilliant Halloween party ever. Nay, because she was petrified of the older children’s frightful costumes.

6 Go to Alexandra Palace to watch the fireworks. *We bought the tickets, but didn’t manage to make it. Maybe next year. It looked amazing from the footage I’ve seen. Did anyone go?

7 Create some firework themed artwork with Little Button.

8 Visit the Enchanted woodland walk at Syon Park, West London. *It’s only on in November for 3 weeks so I better get my skates on for this one. It seems quite low-key and relaxed, just the way we like it. And, apparently there’s food. Ok. Sold!

9 Take Little Button horse riding. Yikes, this is one we should have done during the summer. She loves horses, but with our busy weekends, we didn’t quite manage to fit this in earlier in the year. I’ve discovered we have quite a few stables around us, so it’s going to be hit and miss until we find the right fit, now that she’s old enough to have lessons, rather than just a walk about.

10 Visit London Zoo. Because, how can we possibly live a short tube ride away and not have been already.

11 Book a Christmas show (or 2). We are so lucky to have lots of theatres close by, which makes picking just 1 show quite difficult. Little Buttons is still a bit young to sit through West End shows, so I think we will be opting for something quite family friendly that isn’t too long.

12 Start planning where to go to visit Father Christmas and his grotto! We’ve visited some amazing grottos in past years, so the pressure is on to either try something new, or go back to one of our favourites.

And there we have it, the Buttons autumn bucket list at a glance. As we only have a few weeks to go, I doubt we will fit everything in, but it’s worth a try.

We’d love to know how your autumn bucket list has been going?

Good idea to have a bucket list and then tick off the things when you have done it. Thinking it might be a good way to reward good behaviour with mine and tick it off once done. I love the way you decorated your pumpkin, I might have to steal that idea for next year xx #DreamTeam

I love the idea of making a bucket list! I was thinking of doing something similar for places I want to visit with kids next summer. Here summer lasts less than 2 months so you need to plan well and ahead :D.
    Thanks for the wonderful ideas!
