Inspire Me – Why You Should Smile

Everyone recognises a smiley smile. It’s universal and crosses all ages. It makes us feel good on the inside and out. Anyone on the receiving end of a big smile will no doubt feel great too. It’s incredibly catching don’t you think?

I was absolutely thrilled to find out I had been nominated for the 2016 MAD blog awards for Outstanding Contribution for making the blog world a bit ‘smilier’. As I said in my birthday post earlier this week, my nomination isn’t for something super serious, but it is super-wonderful!

Wonderful because actually, smiling might just be the most important thing you do today, and if I helped to get that beautiful sunbeam plastered on your face, then that in itself is a winner.

5 top reasons why you should get your smile on

  • It can make you feel happier.
  • It can help to reduce stress.
  • It can help to increase your productivity and also your creativity.
  • A smile on your face can make you even more good looking than you already are!
  • Smiling can positively affect those around you.

I love how quotes can make you feel uplifted and ready for anything. Throw in a sparkly graphic or two and there you have something gorgeous that’s shareable, printable and ready to go when you need it the most. Enjoy!

Smiling is truly infectious. It can literally light up a room. Daughter 2 is going through exams this week and she hasn’t smiled for a couple of weeks – I’ve really noticed her lack of a smile and it upsets me. I’m hoping that on Friday it will be back 🙂 A thoroughly deserved nomination. Alison x #DreamTeam

You really do make the blogosphere a whole lot “smilier”! A gift which I can see that your little lady has clearly inherited from her lovely mum. That cute little smile is enough to make my dimples hurt. Just gorgeous. xx

It’s so true that a smile can be infectious. I also think it makes us feel better to smile. If I’m having a bad day, I try to force myself to smile anyway, and before long, it is genuine!
