What’s not to love about slime! It’s squashy, squeezy and definately something that little ones (and big ones) love to get their hands into. Poopsie Slime Surprise has so many ranges out at the moment that tick all the boxes when it comes to kids slime toys with an unusual twist. Everything from ready-made slimes to more elaborate make your own slime kits with large collectable figures, there’s going to be something for everyone to enjoy.
This half term Little Button has been playing with some of the latest Poopsie Slime Surprise toys. Here’s how she got on.
This little figure is a sparkly unicorn poop.
I can’t tell you how many giggles the whole concept of a unicorn poop has caused in the Button house over the last few years!
The Poopsie Cutie Tooties Surprise range comes with ready made slime! You simply turn over the sparkly Poopsie Cutie Tootie and pop off it’s lid, then squeeze out the hidden slime and surprise Cutie Tootie character to unbox.
Little Button liked how the set came with a colour chart to help you to identify what type of slime you have. She got the water slime which is the really slippery slime ‘slime’ one. This one is a bit messy, but of course, loads of fun to play with.
She was thrilled to get ‘spots’ as her hidden Cutie Tootie character! It really is very sweet and quite detailed too. I can see why little ones love to collect them, especially as they are pocket sized.
The only downside is that the sparkly Poopsie Cutie Tootie doesn’t have a resealable lid, so the slime had to be stored in a separate container. But that’s easy done and more of a grown up thing to have to think about. Overall Little Button really enjoyed the ‘instant’ slime and super cute collectable toy which could be played with pretty much straight away.
Poopsie Slime Surprise is best known for its slime (unicorn poop) making packs, just like this one.
Slime is great, but actually ‘making it’ really does take things to a whole new level, especially if your little ones are at the right age to be able to do all the making themselves.
The ‘peel to reveal’ type packaging hides the magical mixtures and tools that you will need to make the slime. And inside the pack are gold blind bags that contain the larger accessories.
We had a bit of a giggle (ok – a really really big giggle because how often do you see the word ‘bum’!) at the collectable bottle called ‘rad bum’ and the impressive bull keyring which you can use to store your slime in.
Then, with very little help, Little Button gleefully poured, shook, folded and squidged until she was left with a really very lovely feeling soft slime.
She was very impressed with the ‘unicorn bling’ packet which meant that she could add a bit extra bling to her slime with gold sparkly bits. How pretty is this!
This specific slime was her favourite to make! Possibly because it had the most sparkle, but I think the overall unboxing ‘surprise’ element, ease of making the slime and then the funny accessories really caught her attention and meant that this was played with for quite a while longer than the other packs. Another thumbs up.
As soon as Little Button saw this Slime Surprise Poop Pack she instantly thought of a very popular children’s takeaway burger meal box! It does look like it, doesn’t it! Well, she was right, because inside, and packaged very carefully, the slime kit looked like a burger and chips takeaway meal.
There were more cheeky references, this time with the dessert chocolate bar called ‘Heinnies’ *scoffs with laughter.
The slime making process is very similar in each of the packs, and that meant Little Button was able to start making with very little help.
Once she’d finished making the slime and had left it to set for the usual 10 mins or so, we realised that the kit actually contained 2 d.i.y. slimes to make!
Opps! But not a problem as she whipped up the second batch easily enough. Each of these slimes came in a surprise colour which really added to the whole ‘surprise’ feel of this poop pack.
Here are the slimes!
She mixed them together, which created a whole new gloopy colour and then added some sparkle. This slime was gorgeous and soft like the previous slime she’d made, but the sparkles were much tamer and gentler on the eye (and the kitchen table!).
Poopsie Slime Surprise has delivered yet again when it comes to innovative slime and make your own slime packs. The quality of the slime seems to have got even better over the last year, and we love that.
Little Button found it all very easy to make and gave all the packs a big thumbs up, but especially liked the Poopsie Slime Surprise with unicorn bling. There are so many variations, with different collectible figures and accessories and of course the wonderful array of different slimes to add to your collection.
It is a bit cheeky (remember the bum!), but the clever sassy theming is what makes it so gigglesome and a standout slime toy on the shelf.
