Unique Blogger Award

June 29, 2017

Thanks so much for nominating me for the Unique Blogger Award Sophie. What a lovely surprise. I’m actually a big fan of Sophie’s blog over at Old House In The Shires, and it’s her eclectic style that keeps me coming back for more.

In case this is the first time you have come across a blogger award like this, here’s what it’s all about. These type of informal blogger awards are a way for fellow bloggers to give each other a shout out and a bit of recognition for a particular quality… like, in this case, being unique. They usually come with questions to answer and a lovely sparkly award badge. Bloggers are encouraged to pass the award on and share the blog love. Here’s how I got on.

Unique Blogger Award

Unique Blogger Award

What do you think is the most unique thing about YOU as a person? Hmmmmm that’s quite a tricky one to answer. I’m going to say my unique super power is seeing beyond the obvious and always looking for that sunshine. It’s a little trait that always helps to turn frowns upside-down, and yes, it’s hard to stay grumpy in the Button house for very long. I think this comes across in my writing too… well, they don’t call me the BritMums Happiness Round-up editor for nothing!

Other than blogging, what takes up your spare time?

We love getting out and about as a family. Discovering new places is definitely top of our list of favourite things to do. Lazy beach huts days are also a must as we have a little mermaid on our hands who daydreams of all things beach.

If you were invisible for the day, what would you do?

Haha! That’s a great question. As much as I want to say something daring and exciting, in truth, I would love to be able to see what Little Buttons gets up to at playgroup when I’m not around. On a typical day when she gets home, covered in mud, her answer to my question ‘what did you get up to today?’ is always…. ‘nothing’. Wait. What… really?

My Nominees For The Unique Blogger Award

It’s my turn to pass on the Unique Blogger Award yay! I’m nominating these brilliant bloggers who inspire me over on the #DreamTeam. *I wish I could nominate you all, but as I can’t, I am leaving it down to these lovely bloggers to pass on the award – hopefully in your direction.

All Things Spliced

Rhyming With Wine

Bridie By The Sea

Shank You Very Much

Lucy At Home

Dear Mummy Blog

The Stented Papa

Five Little Doves

My questions for you are:

1 What do you think is the most unique thing about your blog?

2 Name a blog post which is uniquely ‘you’?

3 If you could have any super power, what would it be?

The Rules

– Share the link of the blogger who has shown love to you by nominating you.
– Answer the questions.
– In the spirit of sharing love and solidarity with our blogging family, nominate 8-13 people for the same award.
– Ask them 3 questions.

Thanks again to Sophie from Old House In The Shires for your nomination

  1. Fab ideas!
As an early years teacher I would say that she has possibly done so much that she cant possibly recount it all! LOL
    Thank you Annette. x

Oooh thank you so much for the nomination, Annette. It means so much to me that you thought of me! I’d love to watch my kids at school too. Did you ever watch that “secret life of 5 year olds” tv show? It was hilarious and made me even more curious about what mine are like when I’m not around! And you’re right – your happy personality definitely shines through your blog and is one of the reasons I love it so much! Thanks again, lovely 🙂

  3. Bravo, Mazel Tov, and Congratulations on your well-earned award! M’wah to you!
