When was the last time that you saw something that made you stop and stand there open mouthed, full of wonder? *Whispers… that time when you peeped into your little one’s room to find the entire contents of EVERY cupboard and drawer emptied out across the floor doesn’t count.
Only a handful of recent moments come to my mind… not including the above.
But, when I look at Little Button I see THAT look of wonder spread from ear to ear across her face every day, several times a day, if not more. It’s beautiful and something that tells me that she is seeing much more than what is simply there. She’s wondering why and how, thirsty for a deeper level of understanding and already popping in her own ideas to see how they might fit.
This quote reminds me that all these wonder filled moments are so important. They are leaving a huge impression, a spark that is leading her onwards. Tugging on her thinking strings and slowly turning her wide-eyed wonder into wisdom.
I am going to take a leaf out of her book. Allow myself time to wonder when the moment comes. To see what happens and where it might take me. Have a go yourself. Always be amazed.
I love how quotes can make you feel uplifted and ready for anything. Throw in a sparkly graphic or two and there you have something gorgeous that’s shareable, printable and ready to go when you need it the most. Enjoy!

I love this series, and I know I’ve said it before, but your writing (and your amazing sketches) really do make the world a smilier place. Love the quote, and the image of your daughter happily playing among the entire contents of her bedroom is a sight that I’m quite familiar with in this house too haha!
Thanks for hosting #DreamTeam xx
I would love to view things from the view of children again just for a day to experience their excitement over the little things in life! #dreamteam
My little man has Autism & is non verbal so can’t communicate what he is thinking but that look of wonder is still there. I’d love to know what he’s thinking 🙂 #DreamTeam
YES YES YES! So true, I try to follow the ways of children, in their attitude to life at least! They truly see the magic of the world, and are happier because of it! Sometimes adults are so blind. Love this (: And thanks for hosting such a nice linky #Dreamteam
I love that quote, it is so true and actually fits in perfectly with the post I published today on my blog, so high five for that 🙂 I really enjoy quotes and agree that they can just uplift you when you need it, so I think your series is great. Alison x #DreamTeam
I love your picture! You are right it is lovely how we can see the wonder in our children’s faces when they see something new. It’s just lovely 🙂 #dreamteam
Your drawings are so lovely! And that photo is gorgeous. It is so special watching children discover things and seeing how wondrous the world is in their eyes. My son is 7 months old and he is so curious and fascinated with everything, it is adorable. #DreamTeam
Wonderful post again – like many others your words take me back to when mine were little. All grown up now (well, tweens and teens) but still have the power to amaze me! Thanks for the linky #dreamteam x
This is lovely. And interestingly since starting a blog I have taken much more time (that I don’t really have) to look around at the world, for myself and also to observe my children, taking things in as they do. Wonderful.
Thanks for hosting #DreamTeam
I love this, kids get so amazed by the smallest things don’t they. It’s really lovely to see and I’m not looking forward to the day when it stops!
Aww, so lovely and so true. What a shame we lose this as adults, but always good to be reminded. I love the quote #Dreamteam
I love this about Baby Lighty too! Every new thing he sees is “what is this? What does it do? What colour is it? What does it taste like?”. He’s definitely teaching me to appreciate the little things! #dreamteam
Yep, those moments definitely make it all worth it! #DreamTeam
I love this – so uplifting and very true indeed! It’s amazing when you watch our children discover things for the first time and are so amazing…we could indeed take a leaf from their book 🙂 Thank you for hosting #DreamTeam xx
This is such a great quote and as a teacher this is exactly how I feel! If I can inspire my pupils and bring wonder to their learning they don’t forget! #DreamTeam
So true and I constantly hug my daughter to me with simple amazement (my son too but he is the age of ‘oh mum’) when I think of how she understands the world and the magic therein. You drawings paint a fabulous picture- loved this one!! #DreamTeam
Haha, I love the drawing – it definitely sums up my feelings about my own house! That quote is lovely too. It has such an impact, just taking off the adult blinkers for a bit and looking at how awesome the world really can be. 🙂 #candidcuddles
This is fab. I love the quote and good look with your new series!
