It all started the day,
When Annette shouted LOOK,
I think I might have an idea for a book.
Dawn took a peek,
And grinned ear to ear,
Let’s add in a character right over here.
The friends laughed and plotted,
They wrote pages galore,
About dinos with courage but not so much ROAR!
Their tale was unfolding in front of their eyes,
When in flew an owl with a perfect surprise!
Owlet swooped in and our writing took flight,
A book for young readers,
A story with bite!
The dinos evolved and grew grey furry paws,
With a backdrop of wickedly growling packs’ claws.
A tale of good choices,
Of courage and trust,
Of facing the pack,
And of earning your crust.
A sprinkle of bravery,
Crafted with care,
And a serving of warm cherry pie here and there.
We stand now together,
On this special day,
And giggling proudly we’re so pleased to say….
That our book is released,
We are setting it free,
It’s a little bit Wild!
… But then, so are we!
May you fill little ones bookshelves with kindness and courage.
