Yay! Look what came in the post!!! It’s our picture book WILD translated into Spanish. It’s all SO exciting, and amazing to think that this can actually happen… in real life.
WILD is written by Annette Demetriou (me!) and Dawn White. It’s illustrated by Ryan Sonderegger (wow!) and published by Owlet Press. And now… it’s translated into Spanish and Catalan with Ediciones Jaguar *lots of jumping around and cheering.
When WILD was first published we had no idea that the International Rights had been sold in Spain. It was a huge surprise, and then we waited… and waited some more. Because picture books take a long time to create. Then one day… ta-dah! It landed on our doorstep.
Here’s a look inside.
For anyone who doesn’t know the story yet…
WILD follows the tale of two lovely little wolves who find the courage and kindness to stand up to a wickedly wild wolf pack. Celebrating the sentiment of earning, rather than taking what you want. It’s aimed at children aged 3 to 6 years old and filled with the most amazing illustrations by Ryan – who we remain in complete awe by.
Dad blogger Ross Good from The Stented Papa very kindly recorded a read through of WILD when it was first published. Just click play, and you’ll be able to hear it 🙂
