Some of us are blessed with an overactive imagination. It comes with us wherever we may travel. Real life adventuring, immersing ourselves into books, day dreaming about endless possibilities and even in our sleep… there it is, free and willing to make us feel full of beans and rainbows even on the most stormiest of days.
But not everyone is able to enjoy this gift that seems to come so easily to some. Many have to really try to capture that elusive ‘something’ and work on it. There are lots of small things you can do with your little one to help them to connect to their imagination if they have yet to find the joy in it.
Once found… never forgotten.

This is such a sweet quote, and just my cup of tea! I remember when I was a child inventing whole worlds populated with different characters that I visited in my imagination. The possibilities of life were endless, it seemed, but these possibilities kind of diminish as you get older, which is a shame. I should definitely try your ideas with my daughter – we read books together, but the other ideas you have sound really great and remind me to make time to do these kinds of things with Emma. Lovely picture again. I used to love putting on shows and reading when I was younger. Unfortunately my boys are not big on any of these but do get to explore imaginary worlds with the gaming. TY for linking up to #FamilyFun
I love going on little adventures. I’m looking forward to taking my little one along with me and when he is old enough to be aware of what is going on, I’ll put a narritive to it too. Hopefully making it exciting for him. Going on a bear hunt esk!
