Five Fab Things – 11th May 2022

We’ve had such an exciting (busy) week that I almost forgot to write it down and its already Wednesday. Here are my Five Fab Things!

Young Voices Concert at the O2 Arena in London

By far, the absolute highlight of the week was watching Little Button perform as part of her school choir in the Young Voices Concert at the 02 Arena in London. Wow, wow, wow! In fact, this is probably my highlight of the entire year. #VeryProudMummyMoment

Beach faces

We managed to spend a bit of time up at my parent’s beach house. The weather wasn’t great, but there is nothing more relaxing than getting your feet in the sand and letting the salty wind whip through your hair. Smiling beach faces all round and the promise of fun filled beach days ahead.

My new book page

It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve finally created a book page on the blog. Hooray! I really like it, but I’m still in two minds about whether it would have been better to create a separate authors website. What do you think? It’s a tricky one!

What makes a lemur listen?

What makes a lemur listen? By Samuel Langley-Swain and illustrated by Helen Panayi popped into my inbox yesterday. And, as a parent of a very head strong girl, I’m already completely in love with this story! It features a young ring-tailed lemur called Maki who doesn’t like to listen and ends up in a tricky situation. I’m going to be reviewing this next week, so in the meantime, here’s a bit of illustration eye-candy for you to enjoy!
