Oh. My. Goodness! This book. I actually don’t know where to start, because I loved it so much. #wow

It’s absolutely brilliant! Not just for teen readers, but for anyone who fancies reminiscing about secret first crushes, the bestest of friends, magic, adventures and all the giggles they bring.

Emma Rockford knows it will take a whole lot of magic to make the school year go smoothly for her and her best friends. ⭐️ Luckily, before Emma’s nana died, she left instructions on how to access a secret wishing well. Emma plans every wish … but doesn’t anticipate obnoxious new kid, Jackson, throwing in wishes of his own that literally knock hers off course.

When Emma discovers that her wishes are starting to come true, but for Jackson rather than for her, things get chaotic very quickly. Wishes will come true and sparks will fly … but only if Emma and Jackson work together.

This isn’t a typical wish plot type of story.

It’s strong, contemporary edge feels fresh and current!

While it’s undeniably super cute, but not in the ultra cheesy sense… there’s actually a big juicy dollop of adventure and wild goose chasing that goes on, as soon as Emma realises that Jackson might be getting her wishes by mistake.

In a frantic dash to try and set things right, Emma and Jackson work together, coming up against some pretty out there, fantastically moments that will have you belly laughing.  Enemies slowly blur to friends, and then we get that sweet hint that they are both crushing on each other. #firstcrushflutters

So, lots to keep you completely hooked, on your toes and wanting more by the end of each chapter. #winning

Lynn Painter’s writing is utterly exquisite.

✏️ Short snappy chapters (with great titles!!), and easy on the eye sentences will have you flying through this read. Lynn’s style of less description and a whole lot more action is everything. I actually had to slam on the reading brakes, because it reads like a dream, and I didn’t want it to end!

*Might have to pry it back from my 12 year old, so I can read it again!

The Wish Switch is the perfect summer read – and it’s out right now!  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

* would give 100 out of 5 if possible!
