Ok, hands up. Who loves Christmas? Us too! It’s that time of year when magic is hanging in the air. Along with joyful thoughts, plenty of good food and drink, and the promise of Father Christmas and his elves keeping an eye out for all the children that have been good this year 😉 *Sighs happily into decadent marshmallow topped hot chocolate… what!? I’m making the most of the festivities.
To help get us jingling, we have been invited to the Ideal Home Show Christmas at Olympia London which will be running from the 21st – 25th November.
It’s a wonderful show packed to the rafters full of everything Christmas. Think gorgeous gifts, sparkling decorations and special finishing touches to get your home Christmas ready. There’s even going to be something for the foodies with the Eat and Drink Festival Christmas. Yum!
A big part of our Christmas celebrations also include spoiling our miniature schnauzer Alfie. I’m not sure how he knows, but as soon as the Christmas presents go under the tree, he’s sure to be found poking and prodding all the gifts in search of something for him. In the lead up to Christmas we all enjoy picking out treats for him, then attempting to smuggle them into the house without him sniffing them out. I was really excited to hear that the Ideal Home Show Christmas will have a pet pavilion this year, where there will be gifts galore to buy for our furry friends. I’ve already got my eye on a few things to make his Christmas go with a woof!
Ok. Isn’t every pooch a bit of a foodie at heart? Alfie is no exception and we joke that the way to his heart is by indulging his tum. Whilst we do love to treat him, we don’t want him to end up like a stuffed turkey, so Butternut Box looks like the perfect solution. Butternut Box create wonderfully home-cooked food packed with fresh ingredients and conveniently portioned ready for meal times. Delicious!
If you follow us over on Instagram you’ve probably caught a few snaps of Alfie kitted out in his latest erm… clothes. We never for one second thought he would love being dressed up, but he really does and favours cosy knits and sweats to snuggle up in. With that in mind, a new outfit is a must for his Christmas wish list. I’ve spotted the cutest outfits by Rock Dog that will definitely get all the tails wagging.
Denim dogs jacket
Dog sweatshirt
Wool cable knit dog sweater
I think you’ve already guessed that Alfie loves luxurious comfort. Doesn’t everyone? The one thing which we never compromise on is his collar. Because he’s got it on all the time, it has to be durable as well as super comfortable. I’ve spotted some beautiful collar and lead sets from Dogs and Horses which would look stunning on Alfie whether he’s out and about or stretched out in front of the log fire.
Can I tell you a secret? Alfie used to have 3 different dog beds dotted around the house in his favourite spots. 3! We’ve streamlined it to 2, but I think we are all missing that 3rd bed, which had prime place in the kitchen. This was also the one that got wet and mucky the quickest from outdoor adventures. I’d love to treat him to a new one and I think he would be thrilled with a big billowy cushion from South West Pet Beds. Whilst Alfie would most definitely enjoy the comfort, I’m loving that these are waterproof and durable! #WinWin.
What do you think? There’s so much to choose from I almost don’t know where to start. If you fancy anything from our dog Christmas wish list for your pooch, don’t forget you can visit these Brands in person at the Pet pavilion in the Ideal Home Show Christmas this year.
Haha! These are fab love the Jean jacket very cute dog thanks for hosting Dreamteam
This is so cute! 🙂 I don’t have a dog, but this is giving me inspiration for my two cats! Fun! I love spoiling pets 🙂
Love the little denim jacket! Dogs dress better than people these days haha #DreamTeam
The cute little jacket for the dog!!! So adorable! We have a dog, but typically don’t get him anything for Christmas. Maybe a big, juicy bone.
Looking for a pet bed at the moment so may well be tempted #DreamTeam
That dog bed looks amazing and think my kids would want it though #dreamteam
That dog jumper looks adorable! Dottie would love that or the bed. We need one so that’s Christmas sorted! Thanks. I went to the Ideal Home show in the summer so may go to this Christmas one too. Thanks for the reminder.

The jacket,so cute. I love the dog bed too x
This is such a cute idea! I don’t currently have dogs, but we always got them Christmas gifts. I have a cat & we would get her stuff, but she doesn’t really play with toys. I think catnip & treats are on her wishlist.
Oh my goodness I just love this!!!! So cute, this is my puppy’s first Christmas so I will definitely be considering these !!!!
We have a black lab and a dalmatian but neither wear clothes. Duke, the lab, has been knowing to wear a kids beach towel (the one with the arms in that are like a smock) when he comes back from a run super muddy through!
#Dreamteam
We also need a new bed for our dog Rufus, He has recently become blind and dislikes him under the stairs bedroom, (I think its a bit too dark for him) so hes taken to sleeping on the sofa (which is normally of limits but because hes poorly, we’ve felt a bit bad for him) He does also for some reason like sleeping in the kitchen, normally on our washed clothes when I first get them out the dryer, so hes in need of a new doggy bed for the kitchen I think, the one in your post looks like a good choice so thanks for that! This is a great list. My dog is a bit of a foodie (aka spoiled); so that Butternut Box sounds like a wonderful present for her. Thank you!
