London. A Parents Thoughts.

March 28, 2017

All of the when’s,

All of the why’s,

How to explain why there’s tears in our eyes.

Why should we have to?

Who made it this way?

Was it something twisted that lead them that way?

Why should our littles have to worry about this?

Shouldn’t they have the right to grow up in peace?

What’s the world come to?

When will it stop?

How can we protect our precious tots?

With love in hearts we will hold our heads high,

We will make the future sunny and bright,

Our littles will grow and bring light to the dark,

We must do what we can because enough is enough.

It won’t take the pain,

The horror, the fright.

It won’t stop anxieties biting at night.

But together we stand,

Goodness ignited,

Because we are London and Londoners united.

In memory of those we have lost.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone caught up in the terrible events in London last week.

  3. Oh this gave me goose bumps lovely! What a well written & heart felt poem. I like that in the end, London is open, you will carry on, move forward & not let these attacks bring fear or close down our hopes. I hope the world will become a much happier & peaceful place to live really soon. Thank you for sharing with us at #BloggerClubUK

So touching. I can’t begin to make sense of it all – we just moved out of London with our twin boys, but we could so easily have gotten caught up in it had we still been living there. A tragedy, and a show of the bravery & resilience of Londoners xx
