A huge thank you to everyone who has been voting for us in the Millie’s Beach Huts – Spirit of Summer photo competition 2016. It’s been an amazing few days, and I feel so lucky to have had all your support.
The Spirit of Summer photo competition is about capturing a glorious Summer moment. A #HappyLittleButtons memory that will take hold of a viewers imagination, and have them wishing they were there too. This is the main photo that I entered. Mermaid watching. It captures such a peaceful and joyous moment, as Little Button sat gazing out to sea, sure that she could see mermaids dancing across the water in the distance.
This competition has felt so special to me, as just by chance an Instagram photo led us to Millie’s Beach Huts. Which then led us to a beach we had yet to discover. Walton-On-Naze. If you have yet to venture to it, what are you waiting for! It’s beautiful and not far from London either.
This morning I found out that we had made the top 10 of the Spirit of Summer photo competition! Hurrah! A million thank you’s and cake all round. I can’t quite contain my excitement and have been showing this to everyone….
and if that wasn’t enough… this.
All our photos placed, so we are in 2nd, 6th, 7th and 8th place. Yaaaaahoooo!
Now it’s over to the judges to decide which photos they want to pick as their winner and runner up. They are all so wonderful, anyone could easily be a winner. I will admit that I am secretly hoping its us, but at the same time, just completely thrilled to have made the top 10!
