It’s Thursday and day 4 of our kitchen and bathroom renovation! Yass!! *I shout YASSS (slightly hysterically) because it’s coming up to the weekend. And, this can only mean one thing. Weekend long toasty hot baths and homemade comfort food back at my parents.
I am SO grateful that we are able to do this renovation, but I can’t lie, it’s really uncomfortable to live in. Especially in the cold, damp weather. We are managing pretty well, and Little Button is being an absolute super-star. But, in hindsight, and if Covid wasn’t here, I would have looked more seriously into renting a small flat for the first 2 weeks of the renovation.
Yesterday, there was more electric work being done. Sockets were placed, piping was run and boarding went up in the bathroom. BUT, as most of the work was unseen, it didn’t feel a whole lot different to day 2.
When you look at walls like this… it does feel neverending *whispers* even though it’s only day 3.
More electrics (ekk!)… but whilst I was cocooned in the office working, this actually happened!
Hoooraaayyy!!! A bathroom wall. I can’t tell you how amazing this feels. The excitement is high and I’m silently shaking my pom poms everytime I walk past.
‘What a difference a day makes’ suddenly has a whole new meaning.
Have a lovely time at your parents and enjoy your bath!
Ohh! The tiles look fab! It is good when you can see some progress x
