Not just a thing, but a really BIG THING out in Disneyland Paris.
Before our trip in the February half term just gone, I had ummed and arrhhed. And whilst I had every intention of getting a pair for Little Button, I wasn’t sure about wearing them as an old grown up – no matter how fun they looked in theory.
Maybe as a young twenty something I could pull the look off. But at an ancient almost 40? Ekk!
Would you wear Disney ears at Disneyland Paris?
In the end I bought 2 pairs in different colours in case Little Button fancied a change *I said. But really for if I felt brave enough to pop them on!
As it turned out, on the way to Disneyland Paris we spotted quite a few families kitted out in matching t shirts, hoodies and Disney ears! They looked great.
But it wasn’t until we arrived. Well. Wow. The place was humming with teeny tots to grandparents dressed to the nines in a stunning array of Disney Ears, costumes and Disney bound outfits. In fact, I felt a little underdressed with nothing on my head!
After we checked into our hotel, we whipped out our Disney Ears and let’s just say, they hardly came off for our whole trip!
*Sorry if you are unfortunately in the background of this photo, looking like you are being honked on the nose. x
My only regret was not getting something fun for Mr Button to wear – who’s always up for a giggle.
Still need convincing?
I asked a few bloggers if they wore Disney Ears to Disneyland Paris. Here’s what they said.
I always wear ears in the park. They form a huge part of my outfit and I always match them to whatever I’m wearing. The whole family wear them too. These are my most recent ones. – Kerry Norris
I absolutely loved wearing my ears – I wore them more than my kids. No one looked at you funny and it was amazing to co ordinate your outfit with your ears. As a huge Toy Story fan I had these made for me and of course had to wear them in Toy Story land. I got so many compliments off cast members and other guests. – Twinderelmo
Both of my daughters 15 & 8 in this photo, wear them. I think it’s part of the excitement. I’ve been known to wear the retro ears too, with the name of my blog on. – We Blog Travel
Yes! Although they have given me a headache. My favourites are the sets that flash, so in the evening you can wear them and be seen. – A Rose Tinted World
Never wore ears before kids…. no idea why probably because I’m just tight and I paid enough to go but now I have an excuse to wear them because my youngest does too. – The Money Saving Mum
Bella and I love wearing our ears in the park AND while travelling! The seasonal ears are our favourite and we loved the orange pumpkin inspired ones! – Dear Mummy Blog
Ha! Great question. No. My main reason is that they are SO EXPENSIVE!! – Red Ted Art
I loved wearing them! Visiting somewhere like Disneyland is a great excuse for letting the kid inside out! I also think they make for great photos! – My Mummy’s Pennies
Yes! The first thing I did when we went to DLP last year was head to the Disney Store and buy some ears. They really put me in the Disney spirit, and everyone has them so you don’t feel silly either! – Emily and Indiana
Totally wear ears! It’s part of the fun, as adults can’t dress up wearing ears is a good way to get in on the fun. Only I wore them during our last trip, hubby wore Disney tops and our little dude had a mickey ears baseball cap as I thought that would be more comfortable for him. We coordinated our tops and my ears each day, 1 day monsters inc, 1 day toy story and 1 day cars, my dudes fav films. – Two Hearts One Roof
I didn’t wear any because I was convinced they didn’t suit me! We were in the ears shop and I tried on lots and just didn’t feel right in them. Looking back I feel silly about that now! Our eldest got these, he’s a HUGE BB8 fan so they’re now one of his most treasured items! I’m actually considering making my own for when we go to Disney in June! 😀 – Me, The Man & The Kids
Yes! I treated myself to the Coco inspired Day of the Dead ones at Halloween and wore them again at Christmas. As you know, I’m a complete Disnerd so I love going all out for those few days. I have to admit though, I love the bows I bought from Wardrobe of Wonderland even more! – All Things Spliced
Yes, always! My favourite are my Christmas pair, but I have so many now. The kids do occasionally and hubby usually will go for his sorcerers hat. I love wearing them because it means I’m in the most magical place in the world! (But I also secretly wear them at home too!) – Mummies Waiting
Yes! I have so many pairs. My favourites are the ones I wore on my hen party though. For me it’s part of the excitement, picking your ears for the trip. – Raucous By Nature
