Getting your creative groove on as a family is a fab way to relieve little ones stress and increase their happiness levels. *I can see all those glitter haters cringing right now. Hehe! But really, it’s true. There’s nothing like a big juicy dollop of ‘making’ something out of nothing to turn those little peeps of ‘I’m bored’s’ into twinkly ‘I can’s’ in minutes.
We’ve been very lucky with Little Buttons school being completely amazing during the London lockdown and as part of their homeschool day schedule, their art teacher created a 30 day art challenge. We’ve tried and tested it to bits, and I can definitely say that it’s brought so much joy into our home.
We’ve decided to make up our own art challenge to carry on with the creative fun! We’d love it if you joined in too and if you like, you can tag me into your posts on Twitter for retweets (@3_LittleButtons). The best bit is that anyone can take part and start anytime and on any day.
Here’s our 30 day art challenge #FunAtHome.
Using any materials you like (or have already at home) create a little masterpiece using these daily prompts. Join in by supporting your little one, or even get creative as a whole family! Think outside the box. Sketch, design, colour, paint, make!

Display your creations around your home to make a mini art gallery. For an extra treat, you could reward everyone for participating with a little treat at the end of each week, and save a bigger prize for the end of the challenge for those who complete it all!
I love this print out thanks for sharing. My kids love arts and crafts but it is hard sometimes to think of new ideas and inspiration x x DreamTeamLinky
A lovely activity with some great themes to work to #DreamTeam
Sounds lovely, really creative and something to occupy little minds – while I’m sure there was lots of learning involved also #dreamteamlinky
Fun! I do this with photography from time to time. It’s a good way to sharpen your vision, so to speak….#Dreamteam
What a great idea, I am not very imaginative so get stuck doing the same old things when it comes to art. I find having themes / ideas really helpful so thanks for all these great ideas. #DreamTeam
Should be fun! #DreamTeam
Ah I love this – I can never think of ideas so this is great! 🙂 #dreamteam
This is such a great and easy idea. I’m so useless when it comes to art at home – I just have no imagination. And I really hate the mess haha. But my daughter does quite enjoy it, so I should make a bit more of an effort. Thanks for sharing #DreamTeamLinky
I’m not the most creative mom, but I love this! The daily themes (and your pinnable pic) are so cute! #DreamTeam
I haven’t had kid yet, I wish I have so I can play with them with this fun challenge. Thanks for creating such cool idea thou!
This looks fantastic Annette. Definitely something we will be trying. #DreamTeamLinky
