Have you seen The Daddy Tag Challenge zip zapping across the internet? It’s a fab new challenge created by The Frenchie Mummy. I have had the pleasure of reading a number of these posts over on the #DreamTeam linky. So, after having a good chuckle at ‘The Daddy Tag – “Daddy Pig” makes his blog debut from Dawn over at Rhyming with Wine, I was excited to see that she had nominated Mr Button to join in with the fun. Woohoo!
As expected when I ambushed Mr Button his first thoughts were:
“I have got no choice have I!”
“Is that what you are putting down?”
“Was that an actual question?”
Riiiiight…. So anyway Mr Button… here we go.
Are you a Stay at Home Daddy or a Working Daddy?
I am a working daddy. *Smug smile.
Would you have it any other way?
*Looks up into the sky. I wouldn’t mind being at home. I think I would be a good house husband. *Laughs… then looks suddenly nervous.
Do you co-change dirty nappies? Even the very smelly ones?
I did. Yes. And the diarrhoea fiasco at Christmas. *Looks at me proudly.
Well done Mr Button. This happened when Little Button was 3 months old and feeling very poorly on Christmas Day.
A little fairy gives you the possibility of breastfeeding? Are you going for it or do you run away?
Sounds so painful.
What is the one must-have item for a daddy?
A jumperoo… looks fun.
Me: For you or the little one?
Mr Button: Both!
How many kids do you plan on having?
Undecided.
Lads’ nights? How often do you have them?
Never. Well not in years. Unless you count when everyone comes round to ours.
Your children’s/child’s favourite achievement?
Walking, and taking her first steps.
What is your best memory with your kid(s)?
When we got the really big paddling pool for the garden and we both got in. You were are work!
Mr Button: Remember I sent you all those photos to your email.
Me: Mmmhhmmm… I do remember. Little Button was thrilled. That was a lovely memory.
Name one thing you miss since being a daddy?
Nothing.
Me: Awwwwwwww!
Mr Button: Actually… I miss quiet time. *Finds this very funny.
Weight gain, before pregnancy, during, after and now? And we mean YOU DADDY, not the mummy!
Is that for you? Read the question again.
Me: Did you get fatter?
Mr Button: *Nods. In sympathy.
Dream holiday with your kids?
A trip back home to Cyprus.
Me: But is that a dream holiday?
Mr Button: Disneyland?
Dream holiday without your kids or even without the other half? (You’re allowed to dream)
A round the world trip.
How has your life changed since having kids?
Life has more meaning. *Smiles a huge winning smile.
Me: Awwwww that’s such a lovely thing to say.
Mr Button: It’s true.
Finish the sentence “It makes my heart melt when…”
What did Dawn’s husband say?
Me: I will tell you after.
Mr Button: When Little Button gives me hugs and kisses.
Me: Daddy Pig (aka Dawn’s husband) said… when the kids go to bed.
Mr Button: *Snorts with laughter.
Favourite beers brands and football team?
*Perks up. Obviously Tottenham Hotspurs. But do I have to choose a beer? I would say a nice whisky and coke on the rocks.
Huggies or Pampers?
We used Tesco’s. They didn’t leak.
Have you always wanted kids?
Yes.
Best part of being a dad?
Having unconditional love. *Smiles to himself.
Thank you for the nomination Dawn. Mr Button loved reading Daddy Pigs answers.
Do you fancy joining in with #TheDaddyTag? The Frenchie Mummy has lots of information over on her blog on how you can get involved. You don’t need to be nominated to join in.

Mr Button sounds ace! I have seen the adult equivalent of a jumperoo in town it is a giant harnessed bungee trampoline… maybe if one comes to a town near you Mr Button could be granted his wish! Xx #DreamTeam
