Rhyming like no one is watching for #NationalPoetryDay

October 4, 2018

It’s National Poetry Day today! Which can only mean one thing. The blogoshere is going to be heaving with all sorts of brilliant poetry, rhyme and lyrical offerings. I love poetry. It seems to have a way of taking a meaning to a whole new level and intensifying it in every sense of the word. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in uncontrollable laughter, mortified shock or wading in tears from some of the talented bloggers I’ve come across over the last couple of years.

I’ve always enjoyed having a little tinker with poetry, but, it wasn’t until I met my lovely pal Dawn from Rhyming with Wine that I gave any thought to actually putting something together myself. Properly (if you can call it that). And letting it out for everyone to read.

I’m working on something new at the moment, but in the meantime, here’s a little round up of what’s on the Button blog at the moment.
