With the rain pitter pattering at the windows, we’ve spent quite a bit of time at home this week. We’ve all needed the downtime to be honest. Especially as our building work at home is about to ramp up tenfold. Ekk!
Some of us managed to lounge around quite a bit more than others *ahermm… Alfie!*
But all in all, it’s been a pretty good week.
Little Button has been reading about the Suffragette’s. She’s been learning about Emmeline Pankhurst at school, but I can’t believe how much the movement has gripped her. She’s loving this beautifully illustrated book at the moment. It’s packed full of information and even though it’s aimed at 12 years and upwards, she would highly recommend it to anyone in year 3 of primary school and above.
I’ve been secretly reading it too, and actually, it’s definitely one for the bookshelf no matter what your age.

#Blogtober20 day 2
I hope the building work goes OK.
hehehe Alfie does look very comfy there.
What a wonderful sounding book x
Bree seems to spend more time sleeping than awake at the moment! Don’t envy building work in this weather, sounds like an interesting book.
I wonder if it’s the colder weather and the heating on 🙂
I’m actually finding history more interesting as an adult. Children’s books work perfectly well for adults too
Thanks Jo. I think this one is aimed at older children and upwards – but the illustrations really lift it and it’s bite sized sections make it a fab read.
Sounds like a good book!
It really is 🙂
What a beautiful book! I remember learning about Pankhurst at school, what a woman!
We think she’s amazing too 🙂
Her little face – she looks like she’s loving it! x
How exciting, hope the building work goes well. I love the look of this book may buy it for myself!!
