Happy November – again!

November 21, 2024

Phew…I just about made it. Happy November  – again – everyone! Did you get any snow? We got a sugar dusting in London.

After an unintentional bloggy break I’m so happy to be back in our little part of the blogosphere. If you are a former #DreamTeam er, I’m super sorry that we didn’t put the linky back on through the year. I’ve had a peep on social media this week, and I can’t seem to spot any linky’s at all. – Did anyone see where they all went?

Golden Egg Academy

The main reason I’ve not been around, is because I’ve been studying on the 12-month picture book course run by the Golden Egg Academy. And wow, it’s been an incredible year. If you are dabbling with the idea of children’s writing – picture books, middle grade or even YA, I can’t recommend them enough.

I’ve learnt so much, and am on the home run now with final modules being worked on. And, a final editor one to one session coming up very soon. Ekk! My aim of doing the course was to improve my writing and work on a portfolio – and I think I’ve done it. #Winning #Woohoo

*I’ve missed these giphy’s!

It’s been a bit of a year

It really has been one of those year’s, this year. Like many parents, we’ve had the big admissions decision day with secondary school – Little Button got her 1st choice *hooray. And everything seemed to be going well…. but then we lost our beloved Alfie.

Then very shortly after that, Little Button lost her beloved Jake, from Barnfields Riding School who helped in her recovery after that awful leg break.

Even now, I can still feel that painful heart break of the little ones world completely falling apart. But then, this happened…

And our world flipped the right way up again.

Charlie

Hearts on the mend. These days Charlie is this big <————————————-> and keeps me on my toes as a very demanding work buddy who demands hourly tummy tickles and treats! *Don’t worry, I don’t actually give him treats every hour.

It feels good to be back.

Thank you so much for reading!

Let me know what you’ve been up to?

And, if you know where the linky’s have disappeared to!
