Our family art with doodle a day October

November 19, 2022

It took a little longer than expected, but our family art with doodle a day October is complete. Yay!! Back at the beginning of October we decided to join in with illustrator Rhianna Wurman’s doodle a day challenge. Except, we decided, as a family, to draw all our doodles onto an A3 canvas. Not only was it a great way to keep everyone motivated, but we were able to watch as the white canvas started to fill, and were rewarded with a piece of October artwork at the end of the challenge.

Doodle a day October prompts

Here are the prompts set by Rhianna! It was a lot of fun seeing how each of the Buttons interpreted the doodles to draw.

So, will we be doing it again?

100% yes! And, we are all set for doodle a day December. With a week and a bit to go, you an absolutely join in. Whether you do it as a family or just on your own, it’s a great one to get involved in.  And, here are the prompts:

It looks so Christmassy!! #winning

Oh, and I almost forgot, Little Button had a fab idea that this could be used as a family Christmas countdown or Advent Calendar. We’ve already got our Advents, so the doodle a day December will be our countdown to Christmas. If you do join in, especially on Instagram, make sure you tag your posts with #doodleadaydec – and that way, Rhianna will also be able to see all your lovely doodles.

Do you like doodling?
