Once in a while something quite extraordinary will pop up and grab your little ones attention. When it does, make sure you seize it with both hands and hold on tight for the ride!
Little Button is a newbie fan of LOL Surprise. She had been raving about them for months, but it wasn’t until Daddy Button accidently bought the LOL ‘BIG’ Surprise a few weeks ago (now that’s another story) that she fell hook, line and sinker for these cute as a button collectables. And I get it. I totally do. It’s all about the whole experience right from the moment you have an LOL Surprise package in your hands. And this is what makes them so unique and utterly exciting.
Of course LOL Surprise dolls have taken the toy charts by storm, there’s no surprise in that, right. But.. surprise! Joining the family are the sweetest new additions. LOL Surprise Pets. Yes, the LOL family just keeps getting bigger and better. We were really excited to get our hands on one of these to show you.
Just like the dolls, the LOL Surprise Pets are packaged up in a neat little ball. Hidden inside are 7 surprises just waiting to be discovered as you unwrap the packaging. The first 2 are concealed within 2 layers of wrapping, just like the LOL Surprise dolls. Once you get to the actual ball, the remaining surprises are tucked away inside.
We were really impressed by the journey of discovery you are taken on through the unwrapping of the ball. All the hints lead you up to the big reveal of your pet in the most engaging way. The toy packaging has literally been turned on its head and transformed into being part of the toy, how cool is that! *I’m a packaging fiend.
If you’ve watched our new YouTube video, you’ll have seen the unwrapping in action! You’ll also have seen that Little Button was lucky enough to scoop a pet pup! She’s got an old school, retro vibe going on, which is great as she matches Little Buttons newest Big Sister doll. Hooraa!
So, inside LOL Surprise Pets you can expect to find the following:
1 collectable mini poster
1 clue (which is also a sticker)
1 set of itty bitty collectable stickers
1 water bottle charm
1 set of shoes
1 scooper (watch the video for the blooper!)
1 Surprise accessory
1 LOL Surprise Pet (with surprise water feature)
We love how all the bottles, shoes, clothing (from LOL Surprise dolls) and accessories can be swapped between all your LOL’s, including the pets. What a blast!
From a parent’s point of view, the whole concept is completely genius! It’s like a game of pass the parcel that never ends. Because you can bet your bottom dollar that once they have been put back in their respective balls, when they come back out for playing with again, you just never know which ball is going to contain what. And the surprises start all over again.
I can’t quite put my finger on exactly what makes LOL Surprise Pets (and Dolls) so brilliant, but they have certainly conquered Little Buttons toy box. We can’t wait to see what’s coming next from the LOL Empire!
Disclosure: We were sent this LOL Surprise Pet for Little Button to try out. All views are my own, and Little Buttons!
These look really cute! I’ve never seen them before so will definitely recommend it to my cousin for his children! x
I know my friends little girl would love one of this. Really cute and ideal for her to play with friends with them too x
How fabulous. What a great idea. Thinking about it I’m surprised this is the first time I’ve heard of a pass the parcel type toy. Such a great idea compared to all the other slightly disappointing mini toys out there. They look really cute as well
Aww these are so adorable and I know if I was younger I’d have loved collecting something like this x
LOL Surprise is a hit in our house. My daughter loves their toys.
Oh my goodness!!!! That is adorable :’) I have 3 little girls who are L.O.L mad. They would love this. We have a birthday coming up soon, so I may have to add these to her list. X
I’ve never heard of this brand before (no kiddos here) but it looks so much fun! I’ve a niece would be thrilled with this as a gift, such a great idea x
My boy loves the LOL dolls, I think it’s more the unwrapping than what’s inside though! I bet he’d love the pets
The fun is all in the unwrapping, such a clever idea #DreamTeam
I have never seen these before but those eyes? Too cute. And they don’t moult so likely to be the only dog we see in the house!
That looks really fun – the unwrapping has got to be the best part! #dreamteam
This looks pretty awesome to be honest, my 6 year old popped her head over as I was reading this and quickly exclaimed “LOL SURPRISE DOLLS” so clearly I am jumping onto the bandwagon a little late! Lol

I never heard of this, so you have enlightensed me X #dreamteam
those look cute although I don’t think my sons (aged 20, 34, 36) would appreciate one and my grandson from our eldest is only 5 months ….never mind I’m sure I’ll find someone to buy one for… #dreamteam
I love the LOL Surprise dolls! I had no idea they had launched pets too, what a fab idea x #dreamteam
These are really cute. Maybe I’ll pick up a few for the girls. My 4 year old has a birthday in a few weeks.
My 8 year old has a craze over figurines. First it was My littlest petshop, then Shopkins and now LOL Pet Surprise. #DreamTeam
Finally a toy that doesn’t need a set of screw drivers just to open it! I think my niece would love these I’ll be recommending them. #DreamTeam
This has got the Little Man’s name written ALL over it, I just know he would love them. He’s obsessed with blind bags and surprise bags for as long as I can remember so I just know it would be right up his street. The pass the parcel idea is brilliant. Little Button is adorable and what beautiful hair she has. #Dreamteam
We’ve seen these in the shops and have always been intrigued. Love the bright POP ART packaging and nothing beats a good surprise! #DreamTeam
I wondered what all the hype about what? Looks like a whole lot of fun!
I have never heard of these but I love the idea! Little button sounds so excited in the video bless her xx #dreamteam
What a great and obviously very popular idea, the fun for me would all be in the unwrapping #DreamTeam
Never seem them but I can imagine little children would love these; especially all the different aspects to it. They would make great presents to give classmates. #dreamteam
Wonder if my four year old would like this. Turning the throw away part of gifting – the unwrapping into something fun is a start.
#DreamTeam
I’m putting these on the birthday list for my nieces, I think they’re finally old enough to enjoy these. #DreamTeam
This looks really lovely! And lots of fun to open! #dreamteam
Oh Edith would absolutely love these!!! She adores Kinder Eggs and loves opening things up. I may have to treat her!! #DreamTeam
This is adorable! I’m a sucker for these thing even though I’m definitely not their targeted age group! If only I had a little girl, I would be getting these left, right and centre! #DreamTeam
Oh they look class. The excitement little ones must have opening them. I must admit I saw the bigger ones and thought ‘I can’t justify spending that money and not know what I’m getting’ But I might take the plunge now.
Those toys look pretty cute… they almost remind me of the Littlest Pet Shop.
It’s the sort of thing my daughter would love!
What happens when the ball doesn’t contain the doll they wanted?! I think these surprise toys can go two ways. But glad yours was a hit. #dreamteam
Sort of like an enhanced kinder surprise without the chocolate? I always used to enjoy those. #dreamteam
I can easily say, with all the pomp and circumstance that is Christmas and Hannukah, the LOL dolls and the Beanie Boo collectibles were by far the most well received and loved by the littles. Something so very right about everything! Hours of play from the moment they are uncovered! The surprise, the glee… magical. Great review! xoxo #dreamteam
I think I must have been living under a rock but we haven’t come across these yet! We have a birthday party coming up though and this looks like a fab gift idea! Lots of fun to be had and I always think half of the fun is in the unwrapping! Little Button looked like she was having the best time! #DreamTeam xx
I have seen people raving about these but not seen them in real life – she is so excited in the unboxing! These look like such good fun, I can see why they’re so popular #dreamteam
These look super cute. They seem to have passed us by here but I’d love these as much as small girl I think! #DreamTeam
