“The perfect way to introduce your little one to the tooth fairy”
– The Tooth Fairy And The Home Of The Coin Makers
“A magical read that leaves you wanting more!”
– The Tooth Fairy And The Magical Journey
An exclusive partnership between The Royal Mint and publishing house Owlet Press brings us the most magical picture book series about the secret world of tooth fairies!
I remember the first time Little Button lost a tooth. It’s a big deal, isn’t it?! One moment their cherub faces are bright red from teething, then the next, they are losing those precious baby whites and you start to wonder where all that time went.
It’s a magical time for everyone in the house, filled with wibberley teeth, gaping gaps and the promise of golden coins brought by ‘someone special’. The Tooth Fairy Series, written by Samuel Langley-Swain and illustrated by Davide Ortu is the perfect collection to have to hand to enhance and support your little ones in the lead up and beyond to their first wobbly tooth. Here’s why we love the series so much.
The Tooth Fairy series currently has 3 rhyming picture books out. The first in the series is ‘Dilwyn The Welsh Dragon’, which we’ll be sharing with you soon. This is followed by ‘The Tooth Fairy And The Home Of The Coin Makers’ and then ‘The Tooth Fairy And The Magical Journey’.
Each of the books is connected with The Royal Mint – the home of the coin makers and place where the tooth fairies are trained! #ibelieveinthetoothfairy
In The Tooth Fairy And The Home Of The Coin Makers we first meet adorable twins Ollie and Grace who have their very first wobbly teeth.
Little Button had such a giggle over their antics of trying to pop them out, as I’m sure she was remembering all the wiggling and wobbling she did of her loose teeth over the years.
The story follows the twins and their strong bond with Grandpa, as he tells them all about the magical tooth fairies and where the golden coins actually come from. We see the twins excitedly leaving their teeth for the tooth fairies to collect, and then in the morning, finding their special surprises.
We love the mix of fiction and fact, and the gentle rhyming makes this a fantastic read out loud story. Little Button also happily pointed out that the tooth fairies are girls and boys of different shapes and sizes.
We were very impressed at the level of detail that has gone into making this feel like quite an inclusive book through the stunning illustrations.
The Tooth Fairy And The Magical Journey revisits Grace and Ollie just as they have bumped heads and lost more teeth! This time, the twins have a plan and hope to catch a tooth fairy so that they can learn how to fly. *How sweet is that!
But, instead of catching a tooth fairy, they find Wensleydale the watch-mouse and embark on the most fabulous adventure underground and off to The Royal Mint in Wales where they meet the tooth fairies.
This book is the perfect follow on from the initial build up of losing a first tooth. It’s exciting, fun and absolutely leaves you wanting more of the story. Little Button adored the character Wensleydale and we think he adds a lovely layer of extra magic to the story.
The Royal Mint Tooth Fairy picture book series is a gorgeous addition to any little ones bookshelf. It’s appealing to both little girls and boys and feels very accessible through it’s calm and gentle rhyme. Do we believe in the tooth fairy? Absolutely.
The series is available to buy directly from Owlet press, The Royal Mint and most well known bookstores.

This is so timely as we’ve had a visit from the tooth fairy this weekend – she brings £2 these days!! #mischiefandmemories
I have not heard of this book before thanks for bringing it to my attention #mischiefandmemories@_karendennis
These sound great. The tooth fairy is a big deal and leaves a note for the children when they lose a tooth in our house.
So much fun! We’re almost there with our oldest grandson…
Nila would love these! She is obsessed with the tooth fairy at the minute and is desperate to lose a tooth so she comes .
Really like the style of illustration in these books, they look great and would really appeal to my daughter. She often role plays being the tooth fairy and makes me pretend to be asleep- which I don’t mind as I get to lie down!

Awww I love this! Mackenzie will soon be 4 and has recently shown an interest in the tooth fairy, although it is still a little while away yet. Either way, I think one of these books would be a perfect addition to her book collection. #MischiefandMemories
