Sometimes, when the unexpected happens you realise that you have to put a significant amount of effort into being that much braver.
It’s hard.
Little tasks that you wouldn’t have thought twice about before suddenly feel like a big deal. You might have to pause, and then pause again to work up that courage to go forwards.
That unexpected thing happened to me with week. Without going into detail, some blinking twit tried the old grab and run (or in their case tried to cycle off) with MY handbag. Suddenly, things feel different. And I’m having to dig a bit deeper to stick my 2 fingers up at said twit and show face. You’ll know what I mean if it’s ever happened to you.
But anyway. If you ever find yourself faltering, here are some fab quotes to remember for when you need to be brave.
“Be brave even if you’re not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.” Anonymous
“Promise me you’ll always remember that you’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” Christopher Robin
“Be brave. Remember that bravery is not the lack of fear but the ability to move forward in spite of fear.” Anonymous
“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” Bob Marley
“You can’t be brave if you’ve only had wonderful things happen to you.” Mary Tyler Moore
“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.” Marcus Aurelius
“Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” Marie Curie

What a great thing to read on a Monday morning. Thanks for that 🙂

These are so lovely. Especially as I find sometimes at this time of year people start to feel down because of the darker days – I love the Christopher Robin one.
I needed this today. Thanks so much
Fear often comes from the unknown, I love this quotes. My favourite is the Bob Marley one – I really like that one.
I LOVE these! I have “be brave” tattooed on my shoulder and I absolutely love this quote: “You can’t be brave if you’ve only had wonderful things happen to you.” Mary Tyler Moore Oh I feel all tingly – great post!
These quotes hit home. I am moved by all of them especially the one about us having power over our minds, I am learning everyday how to work on myself xx
Being a parent there are always times when one needs to be brave and I just love these quotes! Mind over matter
