Five Fab Things – 4th June 2022

June 4, 2022

Happy Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend! What has everyone been up to? It’s been great having time to slow down a bit. Here are my Five Fab Things from this week.

A beautiful review for Me, in the Middle (Owlet Press)

Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I just can’t quite believe all the amazingly kind and generous reviews Me, in the Middle has been getting. Ones that pop up out of the blue are always a wonderful surprise. I’ve been feeling giddy over In The Picture Book Club’s review of our book that I spotted in the morning when I woke up! Thank you so much!

Time with Uncle Button!

We’ve had a last second visit from Uncle Button this week. Yass!!! As he lives up North now, we don’t get to see him nearly as much as we’d like to. So we’ve been having tons of fun and making the most of the gorgeous weather.

Our Jubilee celebrations – pizza in the garden!

Little Button’s been under the weather all week, so instead of heading into central London for the Jubilee celebrations, we had our own pizza party in the garden. I can’t lie. It was so much FUN! And, admittedly, I much preferred staying at home and catching highlights of the London events on TV, rather than actually being there in person in the big crowds.

Market Halls in Oxford Street London

Market Halls in Oxford Street London was another unexpected find that I’m thrilled about. It’s a bit secret, and the perfect hangout with friends and family. It’s child friendly too! I’m going to write a bit more about it in another post. So, I’ll leave you with this Instagram Reel.
