We love slow cooker fudge. It’s smooth, sweet and perfect as a little treat with a Saturday afternoon family movie. Our chocolate and pecan nut slow cooker fudge is a firm favourite, so we’ve adapted this to create a Little Miss Hugs inspired slow cooker fudge recipe, with extra sqwoosh and love. We hope you love it as much as we do.
You will need:
Ingredients:
*Optional, and could be substituted for an alternative such as jelly beans, sugar strand sprinkles.
Step 1
First, pour the condensed milk into your slow cooker. Then, break up the milk chocolate and add together with 1 teaspoon of Madagascar vanilla extract.
Step 2
Turn your slow cooker on and set to ‘high’ for 40 minutes. Leave the lid off.
Step 3
Stir every 5 to 10 mins with a silicone spatula. The chocolate and condensed milk will start to melt and blend well by the 3rd stir and you’ll start to see the top getting a bit firmer. With 5 mins left to go, your fudge should be taking shape and becoming sticky.
Step 4
Turn your slow cooker off. Next, add a handful of white chocolate buttons and swirl gently.
Step 5
Add some (but not all) of the pecan nut pieces, marshmallows, white chocolate buttons and strawberry fruit hearts to your baking paper lined dish (for setting the fudge in).
Step 6
Tip your fudge into the lined dish, directly on top of your Little Miss Hugs inspired goodies. Smooth, then top with the remaining goodies. Finish by adding some pink and red heart sprinkles. You may need to press the toppings in lightly, depending on how ‘set’ your fudge is at the time.
Step 7
Cover and leave to cool, then pop into the fridge overnight.
Step 8
Your Little Miss Hugs inspired slow cooker fudge is done! Tip your fudge block onto a cutting board and carefully cut into pieces as you wish. Enjoy!!
The fudge keeps well in the fridge for 2 weeks. It doesn’t seem like it, but it makes quite a lot! You may even have enough to give away 😉
