Little Button is a huge fan of all things L.O.L. Surprise! From the moment she set eyes on them back in 2017 they have unswervingly captivated her imagination. Fast forward to now and she’s still smitten.
Thanks to the clever design bods over at the L.O.L. Surprise! HQ, they continue to evolve at breakneck speed, keeping them fresh, exciting and current. And the latest offerings? L.O.L. Surprise! #Hairgoals makeover series – yes, these beauties now have hair!
I literally had to hunt a set of these down at Christmas as part of Little Buttons present. They frustratingly sold out within minutes of being released and by fluke, we got some at the time. These specific ones were gifted to her for our review. But thankfully, if you are looking to get your hands on them now, they are much more readily available.
This series come all wrapped up in a capsule. The cute zipper opening is in keeping with past series dolls, but seemed to be a lot easier to open this time round according to Little Button. Good news if you have littler ones who like to do ‘everything themselves’.
I noticed there was less packaging which came as a welcome surprise. But nevertheless, the opening and revealing part of this toy still remains a focus point and super-exciting. With plenty to unwrap and the featured blind bags that Little Button can’t get enough of.
Inside each capsule there are 15 surprises to reveal. We love how clear this is on the packaging.
This is what to expect:
Little Button couldn’t wait to dig in and start unwrapping. Everything was about getting to the dolls inside to see what hair they would have! Yass!!
Just to note. From a parents point of view I would say it’s a good idea to let your little one know in advance that there are two dolls in this series that don’t have hair. These are the rare finds from the Glitteratti club; Glamour queen and Shimone queen. In the early release of the dolls it seemed that a lot of rare dolls were in circulation, meaning that getting one with hair wasn’t always a given.
Little Button has only found one rare doll so far, Glamour queen, and even though she doesn’t have hair, she’s completely stunning and actually one of her favourites.
I can’t tell you how hard it was to get these next two photo’s as Little Button was super-duper excited about revealing the new L.O.L. Surprise! #Hairgoals makeover series dolls. And ultimately seeing that new hair that everyone is talking about. But, I think they show the idea of slowly (if they possibly can) revealing each item and having fun guessing who may be inside those cute little disguises, which really adds an extra layer to the whole play-experience.
Now the question is, will there be hair?
3, 2, 1….
Hello Her Majesty!
And hello splatters!
There was hair! And, Little Button was thrilled to add two new L.O.L. Surprise dolls to her collection. Her Majesty has really thick lush ‘big hair’, whereas Splatters shorter cut was a trifle more easier to tame. Gorgeous aren’t they!
We love them! Even more than the last series, if that’s even possible. Little Button now has hair to play with and this has extended her role-play games even more with these dolls. They have always been cute and sassy, but it feels like with each new series, the characters evolve that little bit more. Making these an unmissable toy for both play and collecting.
L.O.L. Surprise! #Hairgoals makeover series retail at £15.99. It is in the higher price range now for a pocket sized toy, and I’m on the fence about this. The range does extend to Little Sisters and Pets, which are more pocket money friendly. But the higher price for a full sized doll now makes this more of a special treat/occasion purchase in our opinion.
