Living Arrows – 43/52 (2020)

November 1, 2020

This October has been far from the usual easy-going month that we typically all relish each year. There were no hilarious gross-out baking fails, costume disasters and very, VERY few Halloween crafts because our renovations have overrun.

I was expecting a total Halloween wash out yesterday. But instead, we happily feasted on a takeaway and snuggled up for Strictly Dancing, before virtual ‘Trick or Treating’ until midnight on Animal Crossing! *Mr Button would like me to confirm that he absolutely did not take part in any Animal Crossing shenanigans. Unlike myself and Little Button hehe!

In amongst the chaos and awkwardness of dealing with the renovation noise and mess, there has been one thing that’s been consistent. The joy of being whisked away on jolly adventures through the pages of well loved books. The perfect remedy for soothing the wobbles away.

When I look at this photo, I can’t help but feel full of love and a little bit of de ja vu, as Little Button, quite on her own accord, decided to slip off into the wonderful world of Winnie-the-Pooh. Just simply for the pure joy of it.

  1. I love how people have changed Halloween this year to still make it fun. We’re all learning to do new things this year.

  2. Donna says:

Oh I love Animals Crossing but haven’t played it in a couple of months! I need to get back to it x

  3. Sarah says:

The only trick or treating we did was on Animal Crossing too! We’ve not been playing long though so our island didn’t look as exciting as yours does 🙂 #LivingArrows

  4. We had a very similar Saturday night! Takeaway and strictly. The eldest missed trick and treating. Unfortantely the scavenger hunt I put on wasn’t sufficient! I think I will be doing a lot of reading in the coming weeks! Lovely photo

  5. Kara Guppy says:

Oh I have not read Winnie the Pooh for years, must dig my books out for the kids
