#MySundaySnapshot – wedding hair goals… or not

January 27, 2019

We haven’t been able to do anything this week as Little Button has been festering with that gross virus since last weekend. #PoorThing. Thank gawd she’s perked up finally. And so, with a heck of a lot of persuasion, she agreed to let me try out her ‘wedding hair’ for Uncle Buttons wedding.

Wedding hair goals… or not?!

It all started out so well.

*I haven’t included photos from the front because a) she still ever so slightly resembles fungus the bogeyman and b) her face did not look her usual smiling self.

I think it looks ok(ish)… right?

Little Button did not think the finished thing looked or felt ok.

She actually really hates her hair tied low in general. And having her hair like this is the equivalent of asking her to sit on the naughty step whilst sucking sour lemons all day.

Still. I think it was a good effort all round. I’ve seen another way of doing a chignon, so I’ll try that in a week or two…. and see.

If anyone has any children’s wedding hair suggestions please let me know!

Whilst I’d personally love to let her have it down, as this is how she’s most comfortable… it must be up in a chignon style for the wedding. #SendHelpAnyone #PrettyPlease

Happy sunday

  1. Well I think it looks lovely, but kids always have their own ideas, don’t they?

  2. oh what a shame, it does look so pretty. I can understand her hating though, my girls are the same. I’ve often just let them have their hair down for special occasions, with maybe a few curls. Have you tried a pretty scrunchy? There has to be something that avoids lots of hair grips. I wish you the best of luck x

  3. It looks lovely, sorry no advice to offer #mysundaysnap

Oooo I love the swirly bun (second hair pic). Thanks for linking up to #mysundaysnapshot.

  5. Sabina Green says:

I think that is a pretty awesome hair style, well done. I always practise things on my daughter and sometimes she refuses to keep still.

I think it turned out really well, I would love to be able to curate that wedding hair.

  7. Marie Blake says:

Looks so lovely! But I wouldn’t able to resist touching it either!!

Ooh, I think it looks pretty. I wish I was good at doing my hair, I am rubbish though. I love it when it’s done properly by someone else!

  9. Jenni says:

What a shame she doesn’t like it, she looks lovely. My wedding hair looked very similar to hers in the finished photo.

  10. Rachael says:

Haha oh no , poor thing! So horrible when they’re poorly and you can’t do anything about it. I think the hair looks beautiful…from the back anyway!

  11. Stephanie says:

I think it looks lovely, and you did a really good job. I have twins and I have one who refuses to have her hair down and the other one wants it down all the time!!

  12. Wendy says:

Oh it looks so lovely but no good if she’s going to be uncomfortable and unhappy with it up. I hope you can find a suitable style soon xx
